Black butler how old is ciel
When Sebastian questions his motives, Undertaker admits that he cannot bear to lose another Phantomhive. Undertaker explains that "Ciel" is a "perfected" Bizarre Doll , and "Ciel" tells Ciel that, with Undertaker's help, he was able to watch him from afar while he executed his Watchdog duties. Then, Grelle Sutcliff and Othello burst into the manor with the intention of punishing Undertaker.
However, it never comes to a fight as Scotland Yard , together with Alexis and Edward Midford , storms the manor as they have an anonymous tip that Blavat Sky was in the mansion. Fred Abberline demands to speak to the Earl and is shocked to see two Ciels. At first, they are in disbelief, but then, Elizabeth appears and confirms his words, calling Ciel a liar. After everyone is gone, "Ciel" sits in the study and looks out of the window when Tanaka arrives with his tea and Undertaker asks him if it was wise to let Baldroy , Mey-Rin , Finnian, and Snake go.
He then questions Tanaka whether he really does not want to leave too and is amused when Tanaka tells him that he will definitely stay.
Later that night, "Ciel" looks at the moon and reaches for it when his body collapses. However, he is caught by Undertaker before he can hit the ground. Undertaker disagrees as "Ciel" appears to be happy right now. Sometime afterward, "Ciel" explains to Alexis and Francis that he and his brother were kidnapped on their tenth birthday by a cult and that he was used as a sacrifice in a ritual from which he suffered near-fatal wounds. Thankfully, Undertaker saved and treated him. However, due to the severity of his wounds, his healing process was long and he was unable to return right away.
Then, "Ciel" declares that he will commence his rightful duties as the Earl of Phantomhive. After Francis and Alexis left, Tanaka gave "Ciel" all the documents he had to read over and he spent the next hours attempting to become familiar with them and planning the reorganisation of his household [66] before he was called downstairs to inspect the new Funtom Corporation products.
Sometime later, "Ciel" is in the midst of getting his blood replenished while Undertaker idles nearby. Polaris enters and informs them that the blood factory in the north at Heathfield Manor has been dismantled and that Chris Heathfield has been taken into custody.
After "Ciel" dismisses him for the day, Polaris, while weeping, confesses that he is terrified of losing his master again, for he is "a butler, even in death. Kuroshitsuji Wiki Explore. He is also known to be a great tutor, although a very harsh one, at that. As an Earl and owner of the Funtom Corporation, Ciel must speak with many business people about specific affairs.
These business people include those who might not speak English. He can also understand Latin, but he is fluent in French. The reason why the Faustian contract is on his right eye is that the more visible the seal, the stronger the bond is between the contractor and contractee. Because Ciel has the Faustian contract symbol on his right eye, he must conceal it in order not to arise suspicion.
While at home, he wears a black eye-patch made from gauze while when he is outside or undercover, he wears a white patch. Although he can see out of his right eye, because he hides it, he has trouble seeing correctly. Ciel hasn't had the best life for a child. He was born into a wealthy family, had a dog he enjoyed playing with and a family that loved him dearly. Ciel was innocent and didn't go through hardship, so when his parents were murdered and he lost everything by being kidnapped by a cult, you can't blame him for losing faith.
He was able to summon a demon out of hatred. During Ciel's capture, he hoped that God would come to save him. What awaited next was a cruel reality.
In the first anime that was not canon to the manga's story, the opening scene we saw was Ciel summoning Sebastian with black feathers floating about. Soma and Agni arrive unexpectedly, and [] Ciel demands why he has to house them. Soma remarks that he must shelter his benefactors who had saved him from the Indians. At breakfast, Ciel argues with Soma, asking how long he intends to stay at his house, and the latter responds by telling him that he will leave after his work is accomplished.
Soma, reminded of his task, shows a sloppy drawing of a lady named Mina , a maidservant at his palace. Ciel asks if Sebastian can locate her with this picture, and the butler replies that he will try his best. Soma asks Ciel to be his guide in his search for Mina, but Ciel tells him that he has a scheduled day of lessons and work. Soma accepts the challenge, but when he is about to lose, Agni intervenes to protect his prince and injures Ciel's arm in the process.
To decide the actual victor, Sebastian and Agni duel for their respective masters. They are evenly matched, and Ciel is shocked that a human could be on par with a demon. At dinner, Soma and Ciel discuss his problem. Soma incorrectly deduces that Ciel doesn't care about his suffering and grabs his shirt in fury.
Ciel retorts evenly that there are some things that cannot return despite one's utmost efforts. He breaks free from Soma and leaves; alone, he softly repeats the very words he told Soma. Afterward, Ciel goes to sit with Soma, offering to play poker to keep him company. However, Soma turns him down because he is busy with his search for Mina, much to Ciel's chagrin. Sebastian goes to wake up Ciel, who is already awake, much to the former's surprise. Ciel says he felt irritated so he had trouble sleeping and comments that Soma and Agni stayed out all night.
He begins to read the newspaper; the headline states another mysterious attack occurred—the coffeehouse in Piccadilly Circus is severely damaged. Sebastian, Lau, and Ciel follow them, and it turns out that Agni and Soma are simply looking for Mina. Ciel comments that in this country, the best place to look for news of a person is by going to a club or a pub which is what Agni and Soma are doing ; so, they are not up to something insidious. They return to the manor; shortly after, Agni and Soma return as well.
Close to two hours afterward, Agni leaves on his own, which Sebastian has expected. The butler informs the sleepy Ciel of his movements, and they are about to leave when Soma arrives, asking to come as well. Lau, Sebastian, Ciel, and Soma follow Agni, and they reach a building where their target has entered.
Ciel explains that this is the home of Harold West Jeb , and he is involved in importing various goods. Lau calls them over; he has already knocked out the guard personnel by rendering them asleep with a special technique, much to Soma's and Ciel's surprise. Inside, they overhear Harold West talking to Agni, who seems distressed. Soma bursts in, grabs Agni, and demands to know where Mina is. Ciel, Sebastian, and Lau continue to hide because Harold would recognize their faces.
Therefore, Lau concludes that this case is in Ciel's jurisdiction. Ciel agrees and says that reporting to Scotland Yard would be problematic. Subsequently, Sebastian rescues Soma. Soma destroys Ciel's tea set and loudly wonders why Agni betrayed him.
He then flees to his room, where Ciel later enters to explain his situation and encourage Soma to be independent. Afterwards, he tries to leave with Sebastian to further discuss Harold West, but Soma chases after him.
He comments that, compared to Ciel, he knows nothing of the world, is spoiled with given luxuries, and never tried to understand people. Ciel offers to help, and Soma hugs him joyfully. Ciel, Soma, and Sebastian meet up with Lau, and they deduce that Harold wants to win the Royal Warrant at the curry contest; so, he is using Agni. In just two days, Lau provides them with the finest selection of spices. Ciel, his servants, Lau and Ran-Mao all arrive at the curry competition. He arrogantly mentions that he will receive the Royal Warrant, and when West leaves, Ciel comments gleefully that he cannot wait to see his face when he loses.
As the curry competition gets underway, Aleister Chamber is revealed to be one of the judges; Ciel concludes that he probably bribed his way out of jail. The chefs are introduced, and they soon begin cooking. Confused, Lau and Ciel question this; Soma adds that Sebastian is making the naan in incorrectly. When the tasting commences, Agni's curry is highly praised whereas the judges are skeptical of Sebastian's curry doughnut. Once they taste it though, his curry is also well-received.
However, the trophy is taken from the judge by Queen Victoria's aide , as she rides up on a horse. When things are resolved between Soma and Agni, Ciel tells the Queen that someone like him should not be seen around her, but she denies this. She takes her leave after informing Ciel that she will have the Grand Chamberlain's office send the authorization documents for the Royal Warrant to Ciel soon.
Soma thanks Ciel for winning, and Ciel claims he did it for himself. Soma says that if he had never encountered Ciel, he would have stayed selfish and ignorant. Now, he will aim to learn many things and become a great man; however, Ciel dismisses that as mere talk. They admire the evening sun, and Soma suddenly hugs Ciel and bawls, crying for Mina.
Ciel reprimands Soma to stop crying and act his age. He then notices that the Queen left a note for him in his pocket, which Sebastian comments he saw the Queen's servant put in when they were standing side by side silently. Inside the envelope are tickets to the Noah's Ark Circus. Later at the manor, Soma bursts in Ciel's bedroom, bewildered by television.
Ciel is initially oblivious to the fact that Agni was attempting to confess and turn himself into the police. They all sit down and Randall hands Ciel his bribe money for working for the Queen. Agni bursts into the room, and Sebastian silences him.
Soma then enters the room, and the investigators wonder who they are. Ciel introduces them as his "good friends" who are visiting him to learn more about English culture.
Soma is pleased by Ciel's admittance that they are friends and hugs him joyfully. They then celebrate over champagne. Soma backs Ciel up, and orders Agni to not cause trouble for his friends or turn himself in. Ciel finally allows them to stay, but on the condition that Soma will work by managing his townhouse in London.
Shortly thereafter, Ciel and Sebastian leave the Phantomhive Manor to go to London, with Sebastian stating that it is "wonderful weather for the circus. In response to a letter from Queen Victoria concerning the disappearances of children and their coincidence with the presence of Noah's Ark Circus , Ciel and Sebastian Michaelis go to London to investigate.
They intrude into the Scotland Yard department to gather some more information, and attempt to bribe Fred Abberline to keep him silent.
After Ciel goes through great lengths to make him laugh, Undertaker informs them that since no corpses of the missing children have shown up, it is possible that they are still alive. Ciel and Sebastian then attend a circus show hosted by Noah's Ark Circus. Sebastian is invited onstage where he gets bitten by a tiger. Ciel tells him to go with Joker , who has approached him.
Back at the London townhouse , Ciel is irritated that Sebastian has signed him up for an entrance test to qualify for the circus. He snaps at Soma before going to his bedroom. He glumly accepts it, though, when Sebastian says that if Ciel is not there, he would get to live according to his own free will. Ciel says that he cannot perform, and Sebastian reassures him. He passes the entrance exam with Sebastian's help. Joker then names Ciel "Smile," much to his frustration. Later, Joker takes them on a tour of the tents, pointing out which ones are off-limits because they are the first-string members' tents.
Afterward, while they are warming up, Sebastian tells Ciel that the children are not present and suggests they inspect the first-string members' tents, which are protected by Snake 's poisonous snakes. Dagger then introduces them to Suit, who is actually William T.
Ciel worries that Sebastian's true nature as a demon would be exposed, but Dagger luckily laughs it off. Before Ciel could give an order dealing with William, Dagger pulls him away to practice. He warns William to stop making them seem suspicious to the rest of the circus.
They then agree to not interfere with each other. At their tent, Ciel gets the bottom bunk. Freckles comments on his fancy upper-class English and offers him Funtom Corporation sweets.
Ciel struggles with dressing himself, peeling potatoes, getting food, and performing. Sebastian comes to Ciel later and gives him a change of clothes. Ciel refuses to continue living humbly. They decide to do their best to hurry with the investigation. Later, Ciel sees a chance to investigate, but Sebastian is told to perform in the place of Wendy , so Ciel decides to investigate on his own.
Sebastian deals with the poisonous snakes and heads off to do his show. Ciel then discovers a photo of the first-string members of the circus with an unknown man by a workhouse. Beast walks in to change her outfit, but Sebastian manages to hide Ciel in a trunk before he gets caught. Sebastian then comments on the photo, noting that the hallmark on the man's signet ring is the same on Beast's prosthetic leg. Ciel opts to search Joker's tent as well and tells Sebastian to head back to the show.
In Joker's tent, he finds a letter from " Tom, the piper's son. Then, he hears the other members returning and replaces the letter. He hides behind crates but is discovered by Doll. Unexpectedly, Doll helps him avoid detection from the other members. She then reveals that she is Freckles. Ciel pretends that he was just trying to steal from their tents and assures her that he did not actually steal anything, and Doll forgives him.
They agree to keep it a secret, and when she leaves, he thinks to himself that humans have no scruples about lying. Sebastian tells Ciel that he would protect Ciel's life, but if Ciel makes a mistake on his own accord, he might suffer a painful experience while alive.
They go outside, and Ciel tells him about his findings. Soon after, Ciel vomits. He calls for Sebastian to come and orders him to go the crest office and find out who owns the hallmark they saw in the photo.
The next morning Sebastian brings Ciel back to the London townhouse. Sebastian then identifies the owner of the hallmark as Baron Kelvin. Ciel and Sebastian are about to head out, but Soma and Agni would not let them, as Ciel is ill. They then set out to nurse him in bed. Sebastian reassures him that they will do everything tomorrow. Ciel wakes up late, and when Sebastian tries to follow Soma's advice and fawn over him, Ciel is repulsed and orders him to stop.
Sebastian then informs him that Tanaka has called and said that Elizabeth Midford is currently at Phantomhive Manor and she refuses to go home before seeing Ciel.
Ciel tells Sebastian to get them to Kelvin's manor in an hour. He then fools Soma so that he may escape from the townhouse. They soon arrive at Kelvin's manor. Joker welcomes them inside. Joker guides him to the dining hall for dinner. Kelvin makes his appearance and he is very excited about Ciel being there.
Ciel and Sebastian note that the missing children are all here and they act like servants to Kelvin. Kelvin orders Joker to prepare a show for Ciel. The gruesome show includes children unwittingly killing themselves, much to Ciel's horror.
He commands Sebastian to stop a child from being killed, and Sebastian verifies that the children there were kidnapped by Kelvin. Disgusted, Ciel insults Kelvin and pulls a gun on him; this causes Joker to lay a sword on Ciel, and Sebastian to put a knife against Joker.
Kelvin orders Joker to put away his sword. Ciel then asks Kelvin for the whereabouts of the rest of the kidnapped children. Kelvin eagerly guides him to the basement. He reveals that he has remodeled the basement to resemble the cult Ciel was victimized in three years prior.
He says that he is impressed by how Ciel has killed all the cultists there and escaped. He asks to be a part of it, saying that he has prepared the room of the ceremony, the sacrificial lambs the kidnapped children , and that the last piece is Ciel.
Ciel then shoots him. Kelvin cries that it is painful and begs to be killed like how the other cultists were killed. Ciel tells him to redirect his pleas to Sebastian.
Joker, who has tried to interfere and got his arm cut off by Sebastian as a result, begs for Kelvin to be spared. When Joker admits that he is wrong for kidnapping the children for Kelvin, Ciel says that he is not wrong because he has fought for his own future. He adds that, however, on this day he has just stolen Joker's future. Joker then reveals that the other first-string members of the circus are on their way to the Phantomhive Manor to kill its inhabitants.
Ciel declares that the Phantomhive servants are his private army; they protect the Phantomhive family's secrets and pride so they will not go down easily. Joker cries for his friends, but Ciel tells him that crying will not change a thing as the world is not kind to anyone. Doctor then comes in and reveals that he has made artificial limbs out of children's bones.
He stabs a child, and Ciel is horrified by the traumatizing sight as it reminds him of the cult three years ago. Ciel then orders Sebastian to kill them all; Sebastian eliminates Doctor, finishes off Kelvin, and Joker dies of blood loss. He then tells Sebastian to burn the place, regardless of the children. Ciel and Sebastian step outside from the burning manor and encounter Doll. Ciel admits that he has killed Kelvin and Joker.
Doll vows to not forgive him and attempts to stab him. Ciel then orders Sebastian to end her life. Sometime later, Ciel and Sebastian board a train. Sebastian questions why he has ordered for the children to be killed, and Ciel says that they would be happier in death as they cannot possibly recover from the trauma.
Afterward, they go over the hill to get there. Once there, they discover that the workhouse is already in ruins, and that Kelvin was lying to Joker and the others the entire time.
Ciel then bursts into a wild fit of laughter. He says that Joker and the others were desperately trying to protect something that did not even exist and they died for it. He continues to laugh, saying humans are nothing but evil creatures that are more devilish than real devils.
He declares that he, too, is human and filled with the same "ugly contents" as them. Sebastian cheerfully agrees, as he states that that is why humans are interesting. Back at Phantomhive Manor, with Elizabeth's insistence, Ciel agrees to calling Nina Hopkins over to tailor their clothes. Nina performs various measurements on Ciel. When Nina does not find it satisfying, she rips the entire shirt off of Ciel.
Ciel and Sebastian go through great lengths to keep Ciel's mark hidden from Elizabeth. Just when Elizabeth is about to leave, Soma and Agni barge in his bedroom.
Sebastian swiftly dresses Ciel. Later, while Elizabeth and Soma converse, Ciel sleeps peacefully. Sebastian Michaelis intervenes in time to prevent Grey from stabbing Baldroy in the head.
They announce that Queen Victoria wants Ciel to host a banquet and entertain a guest, which Ciel reluctantly agrees to do, since he wishes to regain the Queen's trust. Ciel then orders Sebastian to begin preparations and contact Lau and Undertaker.
The day of the banquet arrives, and Ciel talks to Diedrich on the phone, who warns him not to overdo it. Sebastian informs Ciel that the guests have come, and Ciel notices that a storm is brewing. The guest of honor, Georg von Siemens , comes as well, and Ciel encourages them all to freely chat at the buffet.
They then discuss business and commence introductions. Later, Ciel goes to sit with Arthur Conan Doyle and reveals that he is familiar with his work. When a drunk Georg throws a drink at Irene Diaz , Ciel steps in and takes the blow. After Sebastian accommodates the guests, he dries Ciel. They then insult Georg in French. Arthur notices this, and Ciel motions for him to hush.
Later, when Georg passes out, Ciel orders Sebastian to take Georg to his room. He also announces that he will go to bed too. Later Ciel, escorted by Tanaka , goes to Georg's room, where the other guests have already gathered. He finds out that Georg has been killed. They decide to move Georg's corpse to the cellar. Lau points out that no one can leave the manor because there is a storm.
Grey deduces that the killer must be one of them. They then speculate how the murder occurred. Afterward, each person states his or her alibi, and Ciel fails to have one because he was in his bedroom alone. Because the majority of the guests suspect Ciel as the murderer, they decide he must be watched by one of them. Arthur Conan Doyle is chosen to watch Ciel, and they are handcuffed together.
Instead, Tanaka comes, taking on Sebastian's position as the head butler. He, and the other guests, find Sebastian's corpse. Ciel, screaming wildly, commands for him to get up to no avail. The guests begin to discuss the grisly details of Sebastian's wounds.
Finnian scolds them for doing so in front of Ciel. Sebastian is then moved to the basement with the other bodies. Ciel apologizes to his servants for losing his composure. He asks Tanaka to replace Sebastian temporarily as the head butler. Tanaka ushers Ciel to get a change of clothes and admonishes him, saying that he should not be shaken by something as "trivial" as the death of a servant, adding that Vincent Phantomhive had never once been agitated by these matters.
Ciel notes that Tanaka is as strict as ever. Later, Ciel and the other guests dine together. They then notice Patrick Phelps ' absence and go to Ciel's bedroom where he should be at. There, they discover Patrick's corpse. Ciel rebukes Lau and Ran-Mao for searching his room, and he secretly suspects Lau because of the needle Lau had used outside Harold West Jeb 's estate some time ago.
They figure out Patrick's time of death, and then gather together for dessert to discuss the chain of deaths. Ciel then points out the things that make Lau suspicious, but soon assures him that he knows fully well that Lau could not have killed all of the three victims even if he had teamed up with Sebastian.
When Arthur proves the impossibility of just one person committing the string of murders, an uproar occurs between the guests. Karl Woodley wants to leave, but Ciel does not let him, so he attempts to attribute the murders to Ciel's doing as the Queen 's Watchdog. Ciel orders Karl to sit down. Angered, Karl tries to punch him, but he is single-handedly suppressed by Tanaka.
He then allows Arthur to be in charge of their actions from there on out. They soon decide to search Sebastian's corpse for the key to Ciel's room. Ciel, Arthur, Finnian, Baldroy , and Charles head down to the basement.
When they cannot find it, they go to Sebastian's bedroom. Ciel curiously opens up the closet, and a multitude of cats that Sebastian had hidden rush out, eliciting Ciel's allergic reaction.
Soon after, Ciel reveals that he does not know anything about Sebastian's past, just like the rest of them. They then decide to check everyone's luggage for the key, but they fail to find anything. The servants are determined to search outside, something Ciel cannot dissuade them from doing. Just then, the Phantomhive servants haul in the "thirteenth person," but Ciel quickly recognizes him as Jeremy Rathbone.
Jeremy presents Sebastian's owl, and after reading the note attached to it, Ciel explains that Sebastian had anticipated that he would be killed and sent a letter to Jeremy. After justifying his arrival, Jeremy takes over the investigation and asks for the corpses to be put in three separate rooms. After Jeremy's request is carried out, Jeremy examines the corpses individually. He asks that they wait until nightfall, as well as for Ciel's cooperation, to catch Patrick's killer. When it is time to inspect Sebastian's body, Ciel staggers, claiming that seeing his butler's corpse so many times has a negative effect on him.
Grey and Ran-Mao then team up to take down Patrick's killer under Jeremy's guidance. At Karl's bedroom, where Ciel dressed in his butler's coat to hide his body odor and the rest of the guests are waiting, Tanaka announces that they have successfully apprehended Patrick's killer. Jeremy reveals it to be a snake. Arthur explains that Ran-Mao , who has Ciel's clothes and thus his scent, attracted the snake. They then conclude that the snake must have been smuggled by Karl, who has close connections with an African business.
Jeremy says that Georg initially feigned his death, but was truly killed later; therefore, alibis are invalid. They then discover an important evidence in Karl's fireplace that clues into Georg's death. Ciel declares that Karl's motive is success in the diamond market, and that he must have wanted to dispose of Ciel first. Grey then arrests Karl.
Ciel and the rest of guests toast in celebration to the resolution to the case. The guests leave the next morning, but Arthur rushes back to the Phantomhive Manor, having figured out that Jeremy is actually Sebastian.
Ciel tells him that Karl was not the criminal in this case. Sebastian then explains to Arthur what really happened with the murders, and in the process, reveals that Grey was the one who killed him and Georg.
Arthur sums up the situation: Charles had tried to make Ciel out as the killer; Ciel and Sebastian made thorough preparations to clear any suspicion surrounding themselves, and even though they know that Grey is the killer, they made the innocent Karl into the culprit. Ciel explains that everything is the Queen's wish—her foremost objective was to get rid of Georg. He further says that since he had not ideally followed the Queen's order in his previous case, she tried to pin a murder on him, which he sees as her having a good sense of humor.
He adds that he is good with games, however, and he used Karl, who sold illegal weapons, as his scapegoat. Ciel reinforces the idea that he is the Queen's Watchdog, and that this entire incident was nothing more than a game where the Queen reconfirmed whether or not he had the talent to maintain his position.
To the bewildered Arthur, Sebastian reveals that he is a demon and forces Arthur to never tell. Arthur promises him and runs away in a panic. Afterward, Ciel asks Sebastian why he revealed his true form. Sebastian tells him that the eccentric experience will motivate Arthur to write, recalling that Ciel is fond of Arthur's novel.
Sebastian then opts to start preparing for lunch. Ciel tells him to explain Patrick's murder. Sebastian reveals it was Snake , who he has captured. Snake is certain that Ciel has caused the first-string members of the Noah's Ark Circus to disappear, and therefore he wants to kill Ciel.
Ciel then informs him that the first-string members were kidnappers of children. Education What year is black butler set in? Is black butler good for a 13 year old?
